I bought an Acer Aspire 5920 laptop in front of Wal-Mart last year. It worked on Windows Vista Home Premium, until last Saturday. There was the usual Acer splash screen but then it was a funny noise and the screen went black. An error message appears saying "operating system can not be found." What I want to know is: What went wrong with my laptop? And, more importantly, how can I solve this problem?

I like windows XP.
It seems that your hard disk is dead. . . . Take it to a local IT person, and they replace the hard drive. . . .
Hi Chrissy, it seems that Windows Vista has gone wrong or is damaged and must be reinstalled. When we installed Windows Vista, would your laptop back to the first day, it would be if you lost by Walmart and everything.
But before trying a few steps to solve this problem, because without reinstall reinstall everything would be deleted from your computer.
When you install Windows Vista DVD you have from Acer or Walmart that many here would be useful. Once you get the CD, you can contact me for other issues. I'm online on Yahoo 24 * 7th
